Burning Permit Information

A Burning Permit can be obtained by completing an application at the Leonard A. Smith Central Fire Station, 15 Library Street, Hudson.

Please note: Proper identification of residency, proof that applicant meets the minimum age requirement and/or written permission from the landowner is required at the time of application.


Renewals can now be made online. Renewing your burning permit online is subject to the following conditions:

• All active & non-revoked permits may be renewed online, the permittee must be the property owner.

• Non-property owners may not renew online and shall renew in person at the Central Fire Station with a current written consent form addressed to the Fire Department by the property owner. A current letter shall be defined as a letter within the last 30 days.

• Revoked permittee’s must meet with the Deputy Fire Chief to seek reinstatement of their permit.

• The individual renewing the permit will receive an email with a copy of the updated permit, with the new permit number and any associated information.

REMINDER - requests to burn must still be made thru the Burning Request Hotline at 603-816-3293.

** The Burning Permit Renewal Form can be submitted online if utilizing Internet Explorer. The form can also be completed, saved and sent as an attachment from your email to: firedispatch@hudsonnh.gov
