RFP - Design/Build Services for Stand-by Generator/Fire Pump w/VFD/SCADA Update

Sealed Bids will be received at the Town Hall Offices, Office of the Town Clerk, 12 School Street, Hudson, NH, until 10:00 AM, local time, May 12, 2017, for the following project: DESIGN / BUILD SERVICES FOR STAND-BY GENERATOR/FIRE PUMP WITH VFD/SCADA UPDATE

Bids submitted or received after this date and time will not be accepted. This project is 100% funded by the Town of Hudson.

The work involves the following:

The work will include the design and installation of a new building housing the proposed generator, the new proposed generator, new fire pump with VFD and a proposed VFD for the existing electrical fire pump and involves the following:

  • Assessment of the existing site and existing plans available by the Town of Hudson.
  • Assessment of the existing SCADA and power usage date available.
  • Install new generator.
  • Install new fire pump.
  • Remove the existing stand by natural gas motor.
  • Design or spec a pre-fabricated building to house the new generator and construct it.
  • Prepare all spec documents and acquire all permits required for construction (fees to be paid by the Town).
  • Prepare complete design, construction plans and cost estimates.
  • Construct the approved construction plan.

All prices include SCADA control, any modifications to the existing controller, cabinet, wiring or other appurtenances and any new equipment, wiring, labor, etc. to provide a fully functioning booster station. The complete specifications are available to review.

A NON-MANDATORY PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING WILL BE HELD ON SITE ON APRIL 3, 2017 AT 10:00 AM.

The deadline for all questions shall be at 10:00 a.m. on April 10, 2017.

The successful bidder shall comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and codes in the performance of this contract.

The bids will be evaluated based on cost and experience of the engineering firm / contractor.

The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities, to negotiate with any bidder and to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
