Kindness Rocks Hudson!

We challenge you to a community challenge that will continue to spread positivity throughout Hudson during this pandemic and beyond, one rock at a time!

We are asking you to join our Kindness Rocks Hudson challenge and paint rocks with encouraging pictures & positive sayings on them.  Use your imagination and be creative!

Once your rocks are completed we want you to decorate the outside of the Community Center with them, by placing them in the mulch located in the front of the building, (to the left and right of the front door).  When this pandemic is over we will have a reminder of how our community united and stayed positive.  One rock at a time.

Rock Painting Steps

  •  Go outside and find rocks that are a good shape to paint.  Tip -smooth rocks are usually the best to paint.
  •   Get your rocks ready by soaking them in hot water for a few minutes.
  •  Be sure to scrub any debris or dirt off the rock
  •  Pat your rock(s) dry
  •  Next get ready to paint your rock.  Tip- Acrylic paint usually works best on rocks
  •  Paint a base color.  If your using more than one color as a base outline your design with a pencil
  •  When writing messages on your rock a helpful tip is to use a pencil to write the message first.  Then use a fine tip paint brush or paint marker to write over your pencil outline.
  •  Get creative!  Be positive!  Spread Kindness!
