CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY APPLICATION

  • The Hudson Police Department is now accepting applications for the 2020 Citizens Police Academy.  This is a 10 week program, that meets once a week.  Classes start Wednesday April 1st!  The Academy covers every area of police work in our police department in detail. ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OPENING

  • The Zoning Board of Adjustment has an opening for several alternate positions.  Hudson, NH residents who are interested in applying may submit a Board and Committee application form available at Town Hall  or online at hudsonnh.gov/news.

INVITATION TO BID—MULTI-USE ATHLETIC FIELD DESIGN

  • Sealed Bids will be received at the Town Hall Offices, Office of the Town Clerk, 12 School Street, Hudson, NH, until 10:00 AM, local time, March 6, 2020, for the following project: MULTI-USE ATHLETIC FIELD DESIGN, HUDSON, NEW HAMPSHIRE.

Bids submitted or received after this date and time will not be accepted. This project is 100% funded by the Town of Hudson. All questions in regard to the Invitation to Bid should be ad- dressed (in writing only) to the attention of: Elvis Dhima, P.E., Town of Hudson, Engineering Department, 12 School St., Hudson, NH 03051 or by email: edhima@hudsonnh.gov.

CLARIFICATIONS ON POLITICAL SIGNS IN THE TOWN OF HUDSON

  • From the Zoning Ordinance §334-58.B(7):

B. The following signs may be erected without a permit and are not included in the maximum sign area allowed unless otherwise indicated, but must comply with all other requirements of this chapter as stated herein:

(7) Political campaign signs must comply with NH RSA 664:17 as may be amended from time to time.

RSA 664:17 Placement and Removal of Political Advertising. – No political advertising shall be placed on or affixed to any public property including highway rights-of-way or private property without the owner's consent.

All political advertising shall be removed by the candidate no later than the second Friday following the election unless the election is a primary and the advertising concerns a candidate who is a winner in the primary.

Signs shall not be placed on or affixed to utility poles or highway signs.

Political advertising may be placed within state-owned rights-of-way as long as the advertising does not obstruct the safe flow of traffic and the advertising is placed with the consent of the owner of the land over which the right-of-way passes.

No person shall remove, deface, or knowingly destroy any political advertising which is placed on or affixed to public property or any private property except for removal by the owner of the property, persons authorized by the owner of the property, or a law enforcement officer removing improper advertising.

Political advertising placed on or affixed to any public property may be removed by state, city, or town maintenance or law enforcement personnel.

Political advertising removed prior to election day by state, city, or town maintenance or law enforcement personnel shall be kept until one week after the election at a place designated by the state, city, or town so that the candidate may retrieve the items.

  • An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Hudson Community Center, 12 Lions Avenue.
