Inspectional Services
The Inspectional Services Division is committed to providing direct support to the Hudson Fire Department's mission by providing quality building, fire, life safety and permitting services.
The Inspectional Services Division is located at 12 School Street within Town Hall. The office is open from 8:00 AM through 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The Division may be contacted by calling 886-6005. A representative will be able to schedule inspections and appointments by providing you with information concerning the Inspector's availability on a daily basis.
Inspectional Services Division is responsible for regulating the construction, demolition, occupancy and safety of all buildings and structures within the Town of Hudson. This division will review, approve and issue the permits required by code for the repair, alteration, addition and new construction of all residential, commercial and industrial buildings. This includes building, plumbing, electrical, fire prevention and life safety, gas piping, and mechanicals systems. The Inspectional Services Division reviews plans, performs inspections, provides fire prevention related public education, and performs fire investigations. The Inspectional Services Division is dedicated to consistently protecting the citizens of Hudson by providing structural and life safety reviews through the enforcement of fire and building codes and standards.
The Inspection Services Division is here to assist you with any questions about fire safety. Daily, questions are answered concerning issues such as home fire protection equipment, hazardous materials, and fire code issues. We are also knowledgeable concerning product safety recalls. We can also provide speakers or literature for your meeting or event. Annually, in October, the Hudson Fire Department participates in "National Fire Prevention Week", sponsored by the National Fire Protection Association.
The Inspectional Services Division works jointly with the Planning and Engineering Divisions to ensure a timely response to all applications.
