Public Hearing Process
Effective June 1, 2021, the Zoning Board of Adjustment will resume full in-person meetings and hearings at Hudson Town Hall, 12 School Street, Hudson, NH in the Buxton Meeting Room on the lower level of Town Hall. If you plan to attend the meeting, please be aware of the following precautions:
If you are not feeling well, have a fever, a cough, shortness of breath or other cold or flu symptoms; please do not attend the meeting.
You may also mail or email your comments prior to the ZBA meeting. Submit written comments by mail to ZBA c/o Chris Sullivan- Zoning Administrator, Town of Hudson, 12 School Street, Hudson, NH 03051. Email comments before 4:00 PM prior to the meeting to: csullivan@hudsonnh.gov. In either instance, include your full name, address and the case you wish to make your comment.
Continue to check the town website for any updates or changes. Please see the Zoning Board of Adjustment Calendar for application submittal deadlines. Prior to dropping off applications or making your copies, contact the Zoning Department by calling 603-886-6008 or email to csullivan@hudsonnh.gov or tgoodwyn@hudsonnh.gov for an application review.
As usual, the meeting will be broadcast live on Hudson Community Television (HCTV), Channel 22.
Board Responsibilities
The Zoning Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial board authorized under state law RSA 673:1, to hear four kinds of cases:
1) requests for variances
2) requests for special exceptions
3) request for equitable waivers of dimensional requirements
4) appeals of zoning administrative decisions by Town zoning officials or other boards.
The ZBA consists of five members and five alternates, appointed to three-year terms.
Meeting Schedule
The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm. Depending on case load, the board may also meet on the second Thursday of the month, at the same time. All meetings are open. The public is invited to attend at Town Hall in the lower level Buxton Community Development Meeting Room. See Application Deadlines.
