Budget Committee
The Budget Committee has nine members elected for three-year terms. They are responsible for preparing and presenting the town budget as provided in under state law RSA 32:5. In order to prepare the budget, the committee communicates with department heads and other town officials regarding estimated costs, anticipated revenues, services performed to the extent deemed necessary. The Budget Committee is also responsible to conduct public hearings required under under state law RSA 32:5-I.
Meetings
The Budget Committee meets the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM. All meetings are open. The public is invited to attend at Town Hall in the lower level Buxton Community Development Meeting Room.
