Authority
Per under RSA 36-A:2, The Conservation Commission conducts a review process on projects to ensure compliance with the town's wetland ordinance and to make recommendations to the Zoning Board of Adjustments. The Conservation Commission protects the town's natural resources; preserves and maintains important land including town forests and trails; advises the select, planning, and zoning boards on conservation matters; and makes on-site visits and recommendations for wetland, water bodies, and dredge and fill permits.
Meetings
The Conservation Commission meets the second Monday of the month at 7:00 PM. The public is welcome to attend at Town Hall in the lower level Buxton Community Development Meeting Room. See Application Deadlines.
