This grant funding was used to purchase a Bauer Unicus Breathing Air Compressor. The air generated by this compressor provides high quality, standard compliant breathing air for our members. This "smart" compressor can be accessed remotely for repair and maintenance and maintains the history of all cylinders filled through its RFID tracking program.
EMS Warm Zone Equipment
- In both February 2017 and February 2020, the department was awarded $6,000 from the State Homeland Security Programs (SHSP) portion of the 2016 and 2018 Homeland Security Grant Programs (HSGP). These funds were used to purchase protective equipment for our first responders when operating in either an active shooter or critical mass casualty event.
- We have a full complement of equipment that can be used for active shooter events as well as mass casualty incidents.
Gear Bags
- Each member is issued a gear bag to store their equipment when the need arises to transport turn out gear between stations.
Yearly Physicals
- Our members undergo a yearly physical conducted by our partners at St. Joseph Business and Health.
