Civil Forfeiture Fines
If you still haven't registered your dog ...
A $25 fine (NH RSA 466:13) for unlicenced dog(s) per NH RSA 466:1, in addition to other fees, is required by law.
These fees must be paid on or before the stated date issed by the Hudson Town Clerk's office annually.
Any person who fails to pay the fine and associated fees within the allotted time will be issued a summons to appear in the 9th Circuit District Division Court in Nashua.
Call us immediately at (603) 886-6003 if your dog has died or no longer lives with you. If we do not hear otherwise, you will be liable for the $25.00 fine. The Town clerk's Office hours are Monday through Firday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Breakdown of fines:
- $6.50 licensing fee, or, $9.00 licensing fee if not spayed/neutered
- $2.00 for seniors (for first dog, then regular pricing for each dog after the first one)
- $1.00 late fee for each month late (June, July and August, if you don’t pay until August)
- $7.00 certified mail fee (per dog owner)
- $25 civil forfeiture fine (per dog, plus the fee’s above, per dog)
*Rabies must be current in order to register. Please bring in your rabies paperwork from the vet if your notice shows them as expired.
