VITAL RECORDS (Birth, Marriage/Civil Union, Death)
Vital records (birth records after 1918, marriage & death records after 1968) are not public records and are only accessible to immediate family members or representatives with a “direct and tangible interest”, such as an attorney or other authorized agent in behalf of the registrant or his/her family. Proof of identification is required when requesting a vital record certificate.
Vital records can be obtained in one of three ways:
- Applications for Vital Records can be mailed or dropped off at the Hudson Town Hall drop box, along with a copy of your photo ID and payment. Please make checks payable to the Town of Hudson. The fee for a certified copy is $15.00, plus $10.00 for each additional certified copy (ex: $15.00 for one, $25.00 for two, $35.00 for three).

- Contacting the NH Vital Records Administration or by calling 603-271-4650. If urgent service is needed, customers can use VitalChek, which offers priority processing of time-sensitive vital records requests. Records can be ordered directly from VitalChek or by phone at 1-877-878-8007.
- Applications can also be picked up at the Town Clerk's office located in Town Hall.
Vital Record Certificate Fees: $15.00 first copy, $10.00 each additional copy.
