You must be 21 years of age upon graduating the NH Police Standards and Training Academy.
Hudson Police is currently accepting applications for at this time for entry-level and lateral transfer Police Officer positions. A testing date will be announced soon.
HPD currently runs several Police Officer hiring tests a year. The next testing date will be announced soon, so please check back periodically!
You will need to take the written exam with the Hudson Police Department at the beginning of each hiring process. Taking a written exam for another agency will not transfer to Hudson Police.
If a Police Officer applicant receives a passing score of 70% or higher on the written exam, they will advance to the physical fitness assessment test. This physical fitness assessment test is given consistent with the 35th percentile of the Cooper Standards, which is a requirement for entry to the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Academy. The battery of tests consists of; situps, pushups, and a 1.5 mile timed run. It is suggested to practice these in order with limited recess in between.
