You have the right to notify the police immediately if you have been a victim of any of the following crimes:
The Motorcycle Unit is a highly trained and specialized division of the Hudson Police Department. Officers have attended an intense two week training course before they are allowed to operate the Hudson Police Department Motorcycles. Once certified, these officers use the motorcycles on proactive patrol, parades, special functions, and funerals.
Every year members of the Motorcycle Unit must pass a re-certification course. Lieutenant Michael Davis, who is a certified motorcycle instructor is the Commander of this unit.
The mountain bike and UTV are great community-policing tools. A police officer on a bicycle is perceived as being approachable, as being a real person. The officer is outside and the bicycle gives a less threatening image than a police cruiser. The officer is always in contact with the public and most of these contacts are positive and friendly in nature.
The criminals are looking for and expecting a police car to respond not a bicycle. A mountain bike does not register in the mind of a criminal as being a threat. The mountain bike has no engine noise and does not use any fuel.
Patrol officers working the late night shift attempt to protect the most common victim of a nighttime burglary, the business establishments. Officers check the buildings housing businesses in town for open windows, unlocked doors and any sign of forced entry.
In the event any of the above is detected, the officers notify the individual listed in our files as the person to contact in the event of an emergency. If nothing unusual is detected, the officer will leave a "NIGHT EYES" business card letting the owner know that the Hudson Police are active while the community sleeps.
The good people of the Town of Hudson gave an overwhelming response when we advertised the need for safe houses for the bicycle patrol. Safe Houses are simply locations throughout the town where the bicycle patrol can park a marked police unit without the possibility of it being tampered with or damaged.
The officer will embark on his journey throughout the neighborhood knowing that the marked unit will be safe from harm. We thank the many people in town that have volunteered their property for our use.
Officers working the day shift do random house checks for residents who are on vacation or temporarily away from their home for an extended period.
If the officer detects forced entry, open or unlocked doors or windows, or other problems with the property, a contact person, previously provided by the homeowner, is notified and informed of the finding.
A service still provided by the Hudson Police Department, terminated by several other larger departments, is the vehicle lockout.
Officers will attempt to unlock a person's car door if they are the registered owner or a member of the immediate family of the registered owner. A waiver must be signed in case the officer damages the vehicle in his/her attempts.
Go to the NH Circuit Court, 9th Circuit, District Divison - Nashua, 30 Spring Street. If you are not a resident of Hudson or Nashua, go to your local courthouse. If the court is closed, you may go to your local police department for an emergency restraining order.
Next, fill out the appropriate paperwork, providing as much information as possible. Should the court issue the temporary order, read and be familiar with the order and how it works. Keep a copy with you at all times.
Domestic abuse knows no boundaries; men, women, children and elderly, regardless of race, class, sexual orientation or economic status are victims.
It is a crime for anyone to assault or threaten you, even if that person is a spouse, ex-spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, household or family member, someone you are dating or someone you had once dated.
Abuse emerges in many forms. Abuse can be Physical, Emotional, Sexual, Verbal, Religious and Economical. Domestic Violence revolves around Power and Control. Often abusers are isolating, jealous and possessive.

Rangers Town Forest became designated conservation land in March of 2019.
The property has both forest and wetland habitats. Many unmarked paths extend across the land making it easy to get temporarily lost. The Town maintains this land as a working forest with its own master plan.
Through the diligent work of the Town Engineer, members of the Board of Selectmen and Conservation Commission, along with the cooperation of the land owner, 40 acres of pristine forested woodland, rich with wetlands and existing trails, has been added to our public recreational property inventory.
We need everyone to proactively support child and family well-being and to ensure the continued protection of our children, youth and families.

- Write a letter to a friend or a loved one. New skill outside of texting
- Learn about a new country and ask your family if they can guess it when you tell them some of the things the country is famous for
- Send a thank you email to your teachers
- Rake leaves
- Clean a closet; consider gathering up clothing you no longer want to donate at a later time
- Set an exercise goal
